Marunuma Kogen

Marunuma Kogen is a high-altitude ski resort located in Gunma Prefecture, offering excellent skiing conditions with a summit elevation of 2,000 meters—one of the highest in the region. The resort receives approximately 800cm of annual snowfall, ensuring reliable powder conditions throughout the winter season. Its elevated position provides colder temperatures and better snow quality compared to many lower-altitude resorts in the area.

The resort features 13 runs serviced by 9 lifts, providing a good variety of terrain across its 600-meter vertical drop. What makes Marunuma Kogen particularly unique is its accessibility to high-alpine skiing and its reputation for maintaining excellent snow conditions well into spring, thanks to its impressive elevation range.
